Swimmer: Reliving high school... but fighting malaria, too

Location: Ames, IA, USA

I'm swimming to raise money for the fight against malaria. Every $10 I raise equals one new bed net in a malaria endemic area in Africa.

Since I haven't really swam since that triathlon last September, this might also be a good time to see what I'm really made of by pledging to donate a dime per 50 yard lap. Let's see... if I want to mooch $10 from you, I would have to swim 5,000 yards. Not a bad workout for an out-of-shape college student.
