Post-swim update:
8 of us embarked on this challenge with a lot of positivity and commitment by jumping into the waters at Latchmere Leisure centre just after 8am. We managed to tuck away an overwhelming 14kms and left a satisfied lot.
At about 5.30pm of the same day, another 7 of us jumped into the pool at Balmoral court in Rotherhithe and endured two and a half hours of swimming to get an additional 4kms under our belts.
Our initial target was to swim 10kms and raise £500. Having swum an extra 8kms, we are on course to beat our financial target as well.
All in all, we are happy about
