Swimmer: Kerri Bovey

I am an 18 year old female who visited Africa last year. From just walking around the streets of Nairobi I saw the desperate poverty of millions of people. I also went down to mombasa for a week which is over run with mosquitos. I saw some very shocking scenes when I walked through town. When I got home I researched into the biggest killers in Africa. Aids and Malaria were the top 2. I was deeply disturbed by the facts that I was presented with. In september 2004, 5000 people died of Malaria in Kenya. In that same month 200'000 people died all over Africa. Thus therefore I wish to do something    more >>
