The American Women's Club of Oslo heard about malaria, mosquito nets and the swim through FAWCO, our international umbrella organization.
Icy waters in the Oslo fjord are only good for swimming if you are a codfish or a seal, so it's the Grand Hotel for us! Rica has generously donated the pool at the Grand Hotel for 4 hours of swim time on Dec. 3; participants will pay an entry fee to swim....or not! Now we are busy gathering children, grandchildren, spouses and friends to Swim for Malaria and help to make a difference!
The American Community and the local press have been notified so when you feel the spray on your face, that will be us - We are going to make a splash!
