The plight of 100's of thousands of malaria victims in Africa was brought to my attention by event organiser Rob Mather. The concept of one million people uniting to swim for this very worthy cause was one that we could not fail to be involved with.
At Kelly College we have a long tradition of swimming excellence and over the years have produced 14 Olympians and more than 50 International swimmers from the swimming Programme. Names such as Sharron Davies, Andy Jameson and Mark Foster, to name but a few, have all graced our pool at Kelly College.
