World Swim For Malaria is an attempt to have 1 million people, from all across the world, all swimming on the same day and raising a very large amount of money for the fight against malaria.
1.5 million people die of malaria each year. 70% of the deaths are children under 5. That’s equivalent to one child dying of malaria every 30 seconds or put another way, 7 jumbo jets full of children disappearing due to malaria every day.
