Swimmer: Net Distribution in Malawi

As some of you know, I am going to Malawi in January, along with some PwC colleagues, to take part in the distribution of mosquito nets for the charity Against Malaria Foundation.

We are all fully self-funding our trips, but we are also looking to raise money for the purchase of the actual bed nets so more lives can be saved. Each bednet costs £3, and 100% of funds is given to buy nets. At least a million people die from malaria each year. Some put the estimates as high as 2.7 million. 70% of the deaths are of children under 5. That's the equivalent to one child dying of malaria in Africa    more >>
