Dear All

I will be going to Malawi in January, joining some other PwC colleagues, from the UK and Malawi, to ‎assist in the distribution of bednets with the charity Concern Universal. The aim is to provide as many ‎homes in the Ntcheu district of Malawi with insecticide-treated bednets to protect against mosquitoes ‎and aid in the fight against malaria. ‎

Seventy per cent of the deaths are of children under 5, which is the equivalent to one child dying of ‎malaria in Africa every 30 seconds, or to put it more bluntly 900 children will die in the time we are at ‎work today. One bednet which lasts 4 years, and protects 2 children, costs just £3.‎
