Swimmer: Malawi Net Distribution

As some of you know, I am going, on a short trip, to malawi in August, to assist Concern Universal in a large bednet distribution and post-distribution assessments.

I am funding my own trip but we are looking to raise money for the bednets. Each bednet costs £3, and 100% of funds is given to buy nets. At least a million people die from malaria each year. Some put the estimates as high as 2.7 million. 90% of the deaths are in sub-Saharan Africa. 70% of the deaths are of children under 5. That's the equivalent to one child dying of malaria in Africa every 30 seconds. Put another    more >>
