As some of you know, I am going, on a short trip, to Malawi in August, with three colleagues, to assist the Peace Corps Volunteers in a large bednet distribution and post-distribution assessments.
We are looking to raise money for the bednets. Each bednet costs £3, and 100% of funds is given to buy nets. At least a million people die from malaria each year. 70% of the deaths are of children under 5.
That's the equivalent to one child dying of malaria in Africa every 30 seconds. Put another way, 7 jumbo jets full of children disappear because of malaria every day!
Please help us to maximise the impact of our trip by buying a bednet (or hopefully more than one) which can save a life.
