My name is Kandice Carr-Miller and I swim with Beckenham Swimming Club. I want to help children like me from getting sick and dying and so I am taking part in the World Swim For Malaria, a global fundraising swim to help fight Malaria.
The equivalent of 7 jumbo jets full of children die from malaria every day. That's 3000 children, each day. Malaria is the world's single largest killer of children. Yet it is preventable, and the single most effective way of preventing malaria is to have people in affected regions sleep under a £3 mosquito net.
