Swim: Al Muntazah Swimmers

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Date:
05 Dec 2005

Pre-swim:

Most of the potential swimmers, children and adults, live on or near a compound in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

We are marginally pestered by mosquitoes now (because it is winter, & they love winter), but never expect to die from being bitten by one. We take it for granted that the Dubai mozzies are malaria free, but it makes you think about other less fortunate areas.

So I'm going to have a bash at organising a swim, and hope others from Al Muntazah agree with my sentiments.

I'm suggesing people swim from 5-50 lengths each, any time they can on the Monday, and donate what they feel appropriate.    more >>
