Pre-swim:
We wanted to swim in support of the fight against malaria, and then this whole World Swim for Malaria thing came up, a real coincidence!
Next was the choice of venue. It wasn't clear how many would want to swim; maybe we could get by with the bathtub... Nope, found a second person, so the bathtub was out. North Sea? Brrr. Canals? Yuck. The pond on Churchillplein? Maybe back to the bathtub.
The situation was looking grim, but thanks to the great staff at De Blinkerd zwembad, we've got a place to get wet.
We expect to be a small band of intrepid swimmers, swimming our hearts out to see if we can make a dent in this thing. Why not come out and swim too? Or have a look at our swimmers and sponsor them!
