Post-swim update:

On December 2, 2005, thirteen women from the American Women's Club of Auckland gathered in Mission Bay at 10am for an early morning swim. It was an overcast day, and we needed the sun to warm us up and coax us to take the plunge into the cool waters of New Zealand. We were feeling quite brave as we waded out up to our knees, there was no turning back now, yet, there was no going forward. We were up to our knees giggling and daring each other to swim out, no one took the challenge to go further so we all happily waded and splashed in the shallow water of Mission Bay.
