Pre-swim:

The North Sea in December beckons... some of us hardy northern types will be donning our blubber or dry suits and taking a plunge into the North Sea from the promenade at Aberdeen at 1:00 pm on the 3rd December. Who cares how far we swim? Just taking feet of the floor and getting the head wet in the cold sea on a cold day will count as a swim.

For the less (fool)hardy, the University of Aberdeen swimming pool will be available for swimmers of all abilities to swim their stuff.
