Post-swim update:
The swim started somehow cautiously. There was some scepticism among the researcher-colleagues about the safety and tolerability of swimming in the river. Some of the most couragous colleages proposed to rather take a swim in the shower room instead of the river.
However the situation relaxed somehow when the first participant fell unintentionally in the river. Other brave and intrepid researchers then followed. And even children of the village joined those fearless swimmers in their swim for malaria.Pre-swim:
