Post-swim update:
The American Samoa Swimming Association swam 30.4 kms at Fagaalu Bay collectively on Saturday December 3rd 2005. There were 10 members and 3 volunteers. The youngest swimmer was 7 years old and our oldest was 64. Together we swam around one stationary buoy down the beach to a fixed mark on shore, which was measured at 100 meters apart. Thus together, we swam 304 lengths. The morning was sunny and hot, but by noon until 1pm it poured down raining. We swam from about 9am to 1:30pm. So far, not many sponsors and altogether we raised a few hundred dollars. Wish we could do
