Malaria is transmitted by night-biting Anopheles mosquitoes. Sleeping under insecticide-treated bednets not only protects the kids sleeping under the nets from getting bitten, but it also kills mosquitoes that land on the net looking for blood.
Its low-tech. Its cheap. It works.
