On Saturday 3 December as a member of the Rotary Club of Cronulla, District 9750 I joined the World Swim for Malaria and swam 20 laps at Oak Park Pool. The aim is to have a million people swimming to raise money for mosquito nets to help protect people from malaria, which currently kills over 1.5 million people each year. 70% of these deaths are children under 5.

AUS$7.00 buys a mosquito net that can save a life. 100% of the money raised will buy nets. Malaria is preventable.

It was very generous of all those non-swimming Rotarians to sponsor me so that I more than doubled my target.
