As most of you know I am carrying out a PhD in malaria research, so doing something practical towards relieving the burden of malaria is something very close to my heart. I am taking part in a worldwide “swim for malaria” – a scheme set up to raise money for the purchase of bednets which will be distributed in areas of greatest need.
